Refill Your Double Pen
REPLACING THE INK IN YOUR DOUBLE PEN
This pen uses standard Parker-style ink refills.
Hold the upper barrel and lower barrel of the pen in each hand and pull the upper barrel straight off. If you can’t get a good grip on the upper barrel, use a rag or piece of rubber to pull—DO NOT use pliers or other metal tools, as they can damage the pen!
Unscrew the chrome and gold twist mechanism and set it aside. The mechanism might be a little sticky—that’s normal!
Pull the ink cartridge straight out of the lower barrel and remove the spring. DO NOT discard the spring!
Remove the spring from the old ink cartridge and slide it onto the new ink cartridge, tightly-coiled end first.
Insert the new ink cartridge into the lower barrel of the pen, press the twist mechanism over it, and screw it back onto the pen.
Slide the upper barrel of the pen straight back onto the lower barrel until it meets the middle ring.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the pen won’t turn, the ink won’t extend, or the ink won’t retract: remove the ink cartridge and spring, then replace the spring upside-down on the cartridge. This should fix most issues with the ink extending correctly.
